3. SEO – search engine optimization – increased presence on search engine result pages
4. SERPs- Search engine result pages like Bing, Yahoo, and Google
5. Index – the act of a search engine saving a file of your site and giving it a score based on RAP
6. RAP – Relevance, Authority, and Popularity of a website
7. NAP – Name, address and phone number consistency for better SEO
8. Google Local Block – the map listing
9. Google + – social community with integration into personal search online
10. Yelp- a socially powered review site with an underlying business model
11. Navigation (web design) – the bar from which the drop-down menus show
12. Metatags – code search engines need in order for Google to display your site
13. Above the Fold – what we see on a website on desktop (like a folded newspaper)
14. Mobile Site – a website designed for mobile devices with coding that automatically directs mobile browsers to the mobile version
15. Flash animation – website code that generates movement. Right-click a moving object to test for flash. Flash does not render on many devices. Great for artists, bad for dentists.
16. CTA’s or CallOuts – Calls to Action – predictive action buttons on full website and mobile to generate a new patient communication. Responsive Web Design – website that is built on “foldable” platform. A responsive design automatically changes the navigation to fit any device.
